The short version
This is a bug fix, not a feature. There is no new capability to announce, no new screen, no new workflow. The honest framing for any external or internal comms is: we found and closed a crash in appointment scheduling, and it's fixed before it reached customers — this shipped pre-release.
If you need a line for release notes / changelog
Something like:
Fixed an issue where switching between clinic branches could cause the appointment scheduling screen to fail to load.
Avoid stronger language ("major reliability overhaul," "faster scheduling," etc.) — the change is a narrow crash fix in three files, not a performance or capability improvement. Don't imply the appointment/calendar system was previously unstable in general; this was one specific, narrow timing condition (switching to a not-yet-loaded branch).
What NOT to say
- Don't call this a "new availability checker" or "new monthly calendar" —
both of those screens already existed; only their crash-resistance changed.
- Don't frame this as "faster" or "smarter" scheduling — no scheduling
logic changed, only what happens when branch data hasn't loaded yet.
- Don't reference "multi-branch support" as if it's new — multi-branch
clinics were already supported; this just fixes a crash some of those clinics could hit.
Who benefits
Clinics running more than one branch, and any staff member (owner, manager) whose role has them switching between branches within a session — that's the population who could have hit the original crash.
