For Sales
The pitch
"You don't need a separate accounting system anymore. Every invoice, payment, expense, stock movement, doctor commission, and payroll run in Dentolize now posts automatically into a real general ledger — and you get the standard reports (trial balance, income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) without touching a spreadsheet."
Where this wins
- Against clinics still using spreadsheets or a disconnected accounting tool: the core win is zero duplicate entry. Today, someone re-keys invoices and payments into QuickBooks/Xero/Excel every month. With this module, the ledger is a byproduct of running the clinic, not a second job.
- Against generic accounting software: dental-specific out of the box — doctor commission accrual and payout tied to actual production/payments, insurance claim clearing accounts, lab payables, and doctor profitability reports. A generic accounting product needs custom chart-of-accounts work to represent any of that; this ships pre-built.
- Multi-branch clinics: one chart of accounts, branch-level P&L, automatic inter-branch balancing on transfers, and — for chains that want to spread shared overhead (admin, facilities, marketing) across branches — allocation rules that post a real, reversible journal entry each period. A real differentiator for chains, which otherwise either run separate books per branch or hand-consolidate.
- Payroll bundled in: commission policies, payroll runs (automatic or manager-reviewed), and doctor payouts are part of the same release — a clinic evaluating "do I need yet another payroll product" gets a straightforward "no."
Objections and honest answers
"Does it replace my accountant?" No — it replaces the manual bookkeeping and reconciliation work an accountant currently has to do from scratch each month. It gives them a real, live ledger and standard financial statements to review and sign off on, not a substitute for their judgment.
"Can I export everything to my accountant's software?" Report export to Excel/CSV works today from the web app for most reports (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, equity, VAT return, general ledger, account ledger, responsibility-center P&L, service-line/provider/payer/chart P&L, deferred revenue, pending inventory, doctor commission, receivables/payables accruals). It does not currently cover trial balance, statement of account, or journal entries, and export is web-only — it isn't available from the mobile app. If a prospect specifically needs one of the uncovered exports, don't commit a date; flag it to engineering first.
"Can I import my existing chart of accounts / historical books?" Every clinic gets a pre-built starter chart of accounts they can customize (add, rename, reclassify accounts). There's no bulk historical-ledger import in this release — a clinic starts posting forward from when the module is enabled for them, plus whatever operational history already exists in Dentolize (invoices, payments, etc. can post retroactively once flagged in).
"Does it handle bank reconciliation the way [competitor] does, with automatic bank feed matching?" Not yet. Today it's a manual reconciliation workflow: you enter statement lines by hand and tick them off against your records. There's no bank feed import or automatic matching in this release — be accurate about this rather than letting a prospect assume otherwise and get surprised in onboarding.
"Is this Saudi-compliant / does it handle ZATCA?" The tax module tracks VAT, withholding tax, and Zakat, and includes a reconciliation check against the clinic's existing ZATCA e-invoicing status. It does not itself file anything with ZATCA — that's handled by Dentolize's separate, pre-existing e-invoicing integration. Don't conflate the two in a compliance-sensitive conversation.
Competitive framing
Lead with integration, not feature parity. A prospect comparing this line-by-line against a mature standalone accounting product will find gaps (see For Quality for the honest list). The winning argument is that this ledger is automatically fed by everything already happening in the clinic system, with zero re-entry — that's a structural advantage no bolt-on integration can fully replicate, even if a competitor's accounting product has more report types today.
