The pitch in one breath
"Dentolize's discount analytics measure discounts the way an accountant would — against the full price before the discount. If you gave 11.5 % off, the dashboard says 11.5 %, not an inflated number."
This is a credibility talking point, best used when a prospect is probing how trustworthy the financial reporting is.
When to raise it
- A prospect who currently uses spreadsheets and has been **burned by dodgy
reporting** in another system.
- An accountant or finance lead in the buying committee who cares about how
figures are derived, not just that they exist.
- During a live demo of the invoices screen — filter to discounted invoices,
point at the Discount tile, and explain that the percentage is the true share of the pre‑discount price.
How to demo it
- Open Finances → Invoices.
- Click Show Analytics to reveal the summary tiles.
- Click the Discount tile to filter to discounted invoices.
- Show that Discount (₺2,373.25) over the pre‑discount base (₺20,675) reads
11.5 % — the honest "percent off."
See the walkthrough for the exact screens.
Objection handling
"That sounds like a bug you just fixed, not a feature."
Correct — and that's the point. We treat a one‑decimal reporting discrepancy as worth fixing properly, with a demonstrable before/after. That's the standard we hold the whole financial module to.
"Does this change my historical numbers?"
No stored data changes. Invoices, discounts, and totals are exactly as they were. Only the displayed percentage on the analytics tile is calculated more accurately — it recomputes live each time you open the screen.
"Is it on web and mobile?"
Both. The clinic web app and the mobile app use the same corrected formula, so a manager on the phone and an accountant at a desk see the same number.
Competitive angle
Most practice‑management tools show discount amounts but are vague about the basis of any percentage. Being able to say "we divide by the pre‑discount price, and here's the invoice breakdown that proves it" is a small but concrete differentiator on financial rigor. Don't oversell it — pair it with the broader stakeholder case for trustworthy analytics.
Scope guardrail (so you don't over‑promise)
This fix is only the discount tile on the invoices screen. It does not change tax, insurance, paid, or remaining percentages, and it does not touch reports elsewhere. Keep the claim narrow and it stays bulletproof.
