The pitch

Most clinic-management tools that bolt on WhatsApp messaging hit the same wall: after 24 hours of silence, WhatsApp won't let a free-form message through, and the conversation just... stops. Dentolize gives staff a direct way to re-open it — pick an approved message, send it as a template, done — without switching to a separate WhatsApp Business app or another channel.

Talking points

  • It's built into the same conversation view staff already work in for WhatsApp — no separate template-sending

tool, no copy-pasting a phone number into Meta's own interface.

  • It reuses messages the clinic already has. Any existing reminder message that only needs the patient's name can

be sent this way — there's no separate "template library" to build up from scratch (that said, see the honesty note below on the approval step).

  • It's permission-gated the same way normal WhatsApp sending is (SEND_WA), so it slots into existing staff

roles without new permission setup.

Objections and honest answers

  • "Can I send any message this way?" No — only ones whose only variable is the patient's name. Anything that

needs an appointment date, doctor, or amount is out of scope for this specific feature (those still go out through the normal automated reminders, which run with full context). Don't oversell this as a general-purpose "message anyone, anytime" tool.

  • "Does this need Meta's approval every time?" No — the template needs to already be approved by Meta (a

one-time process per template, separate from this feature). Once approved, it can be reused as many times as needed through this flow. If a clinic doesn't have any approved templates yet, this feature has nothing to send until they do.

  • "Is this different from just texting the patient?" Yes, structurally: WhatsApp requires the template

mechanism specifically for expired conversations, and this feature is the reason it's available for expired conversations at all — a plain SMS/message-composer approach wouldn't get through WhatsApp's own gate.

Competitive angle

Frame this as closing an operational gap, not a headline feature on its own: clinics using generic scheduling software or a bare WhatsApp Business app typically have no equivalent — staff have to leave their tool entirely to manage templates in Meta's business manager. The value is the workflow being in Dentolize, not a novel capability that didn't exist elsewhere.
