What to teach
This is not a new workflow to train on — "Logout All Users" already exists and the steps to use it don't change. What's worth mentioning in a security or admin-training session is what it now guarantees, so owners understand the tool's full effect.
Step-by-step (for an owner/admin audience)
- Go to Settings → Account → Security tab (web) or **More → Logout All
Users** (mobile app).
- Click Logout All Users.
- Confirm in the popover that appears — this is intentionally a two-step
action because it's irreversible and affects every staff member at once.
- Explain what happens: every staff session ends immediately (nobody stays
logged in anywhere), and — once this fix ships — every staff device also stops receiving push notifications from the clinic until they log back in.
Talking points
- This is the tool to reach for on staff offboarding, a **lost or stolen
device, or suspected account compromise** — anything where "everyone, everywhere, right now" is the requirement.
- It affects the whole clinic (company), not one user. For signing out a
single person's device, use that person's own logout instead — no need to log out the entire clinic for one device.
- After clicking it, the owner themself is also logged out and redirected to
the login screen — that's expected, not a bug.
Common misunderstanding to head off
Staff sometimes assume that being logged out means "the app goes silent" automatically. Before this fix, that assumption was wrong — a phone could sit logged-out and still receive notifications. Trainers should note this was a known gap that's being closed, so if anyone remembers seeing that behavior, it's expected to no longer happen once this ships.
