Teaching this to a clinic
This is a two-minute add-on to whatever notification-settings training a clinic already gets — it's not a new workflow, just two new rows in a list that already exists.
Step by step (web)
- Log in, go to Settings → Account.
- Stay on the Main tab (it's the default).
- Scroll to Show Notifications For. Point out the checkbox list —
note that this list already controls things like invoice alerts and calendar reminders, so the two new rows are just two more items in a pattern they've likely already used.
- Find Daily Summary and Daily Appointments Summary near the end
of the list — both checked by default.
- Hover the
?next to Daily Summary and read the tooltip out loud —
specifically the permission requirement. This is the one point worth pausing on: if a manager unchecks it and later asks why a receptionist never got it even with it checked, the answer is permissions, not the toggle.
- Click Update to save. There's no separate confirmation — the
standard toast/success message is the only feedback.
Step by step (mobile)
- Tap More → Settings → Notifications.
- Scroll to the bottom — the same two switches appear as the last two
items, right after Treasury.
- Toggling and tapping Save (top-right) works the same as any other
switch on that screen.
What to tell every audience
- Owners/managers: "You'll get a message right around closing time
with the day's invoice and payment totals and how many appointments got done. If you don't want it, it's the same on/off switch as your other notifications."
- Doctors: "You'll get your own personal recap — what you finished
today, and what's first tomorrow — separate from the clinic-wide summary. You don't need any special permission for this one; it's just based on your own schedule."
- Everyone: "This only works if you have the app installed and push
notifications turned on for it at the phone's settings level — the toggle in Dentolize just decides whether Dentolize sends it, not whether your phone lets it through."
Common training pitfall
Don't demo this live expecting an immediate result — it only fires once a day, at the clinic's local 23:30, not on save. If a demo needs to show the actual push arriving, that has to be arranged in advance with someone who can trigger the cron manually (an internal/admin action, not something clinic staff can do themselves — see For Support).
